Xiaomi Smart Band 9 with longer battery life now available
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 has officially launched in markets worldwide, including Europe, following an earlier pre-order campaign some countries. The latest wearable has a similar appearance to the older Smart Band 8, though there are a series of feature upgrades.
The Band 9 matches its predecessor with 1.62-inch AMOLED, though this 60Hz display is twice as bright, delivering up to 1,200 nits, making it easier to read in sunny conditions. Xiaomi claims that heart rate measurements are now 16% more accurate, and SpO2 level and sleep monitoring have also been improved. You can also track exercise with over 150 sports modes, check the weather, create to-do lists and set alarms. Another enhancement comes for the smartwatch’s haptic feedback. On top of this, the Band 9 is said to run for up to 21 days on a single charge with typical use, five days longer than its predecessor.
Customers can choose from four colorways: Arctic Blue, Glacier Silver, Midnight Black and Mystic Rose. Each variant comes with a TPU strap as standard, though you can purchase accessories such as the Cuban Chain Strap, Dual-tone Leather Strap White and Orange, and the Smart Band Pendant to customize your wearable further. You can now buy the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 for £34.99/€39.99 in countries such as the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Germany.
