Former US President Donald Trump now owns over $1 million in crypto despite once calling the technology a “scam.”

According to new official financial disclosures, Trump owns over $1 million in crypto, ranging from his crypto wallet to a “virtual Ethereum key.” The disclosures also show that Trump sold Christian bibles for $300,000.

Trump’s crypto holdings, as disclosed, are valued anywhere between $1 million and $5 million. During his only presidential term, Trump slammed crypto, calling it a “scam” and suggesting that the Department of Justice should go after Bitcoin (BTC) for “fraud.”

However, Trump has since changed his stance on crypto, releasing several non-fungible token (NFT) collections to mixed reviews.

Last month, at the Bitcoin2024 conference in Nashville, Trump stated that the US would stop selling its trove of seized Bitcoin on the open market if he were elected and instead hold the asset strategically as an investment.

Earlier this year, a jury of 12 New Yorkers found Trump guilty of 34 felonies.
