Cyber Captal Founder Justin Bons Accuses Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA) of Misleading the Community on TPS

Cyber Captal founder Justin Bons has accused Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA) of misleading the community regarding their protocols’ Transaction Per Second (TPS) metric. While Bons' critiques of Cardano are not novel, his statements have drawn strong criticism within the crypto community.

Highlighting Solana and ADA’s Alleged Misdeeds

The businessman has identified both protocols as the two major violators when it comes to “fake” TPS metrics. Elaborating further, he stated that Solana is misleading investors by a factor of 6.5, while ADA is doing the same by a factor of 26.5, both of which violate industry standards for the TPS metric.

According to Bons, Solana's maximum TPS is theoretically capped at 10,000, but in reality, it is only 739. Similarly, he noted that Cardano has a maximum theoretical TPS of 18 and a current TPS of 0.4. However, these figures can vary depending on the source. Some claim that SOL's maximum theoretical TPS is as high as 65,000, while others state that ADA's maximum theoretical TPS reaches 477.

Bons also pointed out that some platforms have played a role in disseminating these inflated TPS figures. Additionally, he has been particularly critical of ADA, recently stating that its wave of adoption has passed due to its centralized nature.
