TON Leads Crypto Majors as BTC, ETH Remain Flat
GameFi heavy TON outperformed the CoinDesk 20 during the Monday trading day in Asia.
Cryptocurrency prices were largely flat in Asia on Monday, with bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH) showing little movement.
However, TON, the digital asset linked to Telegram, outperformed the CoinDesk 20 (CD20) with a 5.6% gain. The CD20, which tracks the performance of the largest digital assets, was down 0.43%.
Bitcoin was trading around $23,000 at the start of the Asian business week, with a 0.04% gain over the past 24 hours. Ether was also flat, showing a 0.02% loss over the same period and trading around $1,600.
Among the top performers, DYDX showed a 5.6% gain over the past 24 hours, continuing its rally as the decentralized exchange saw an increase in its weekly trading volume.
Cryptocurrency prices have been showing some recovery in 2023, with bitcoin and ether both up over 40% year-to-date. However, the rally has slowed in recent weeks, with both assets consolidating their gains.
