Leaker Igor Bogdanov has followed up last week's bumper DJI Neo leak with new looks at the company's next drone. This time, the leaker has focused on the ways in which the Neo could be used, evidence of which we have embedded below.
As expected, the Neo will be controllable with a conventional remote controller like many of DJI's drones. Moreover, the drone will also be compatible with first-person view (FPV) glasses. Consequently, the Neo serves as a smaller alternative to not just the existing Mini 4 Pro, but also the recent Avata 2 (curr. $999 on Amazon).
Furthermore, the Neo will support voice commands through the DJI app and a paired smartphone. Ultimately, it remains to be seen how well the latter will work in practice. On top of that, it will be possible to fly the drone using manual controls within the same app.
Unfortunately, the Neo's release date still remains unknown for now. Until recently, rumours had suggested that DJI was gearing to introduce the drone on August 20. However, DJI has not even teased a new launch event yet, which usually occurs in the lead-up to a new product release. As such, a launch within 24 hours seems improbable and out of the question.
