Bitcoin (BTC) Price Today - August 21: BTC Dips Below $60,000 Mark Again; TRX Emerges as Biggest Gainer

Bitcoin (BTC), the world's oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, dipped below the $60,000 mark once again after a day of gains.

Bitcoin price fell below the $60,000 mark again on August 21, while most other popular altcoins, including Ethereum, Dogecoin, Solana, Ripple, and Litecoin, also landed in the red. At the time of writing, the overall Market Fear & Greed Index stood at 45 (Neutral) out of 100, as per CoinMarketCap data. However, TRX emerged to be the biggest gainer of the lot, with a 24-hour jump of nearly 12 percent. On the other hand, Bittensor (TAO) became the biggest loser, with a 24-hour dip of nearly 5 percent.

The global crypto market cap stood at $2.1 trillion at the time of writing, registering a 24-hour dip of 1.97 percent.

According to CoinMarketCap, the price of Bitcoin stood at $59,377.25, registering a 24-hour dip of 2.64 percent. However, according to Indian exchanges, the BTC price stood at Rs 49.14 lakh.

Ethereum (ETH) Price Today

At the time of writing, the price of ETH stood at $2,592.76, marking a 24-hour loss of 3.06 percent. In India, the price of Ethereum stood at Rs 2.21 lakh.

Dogecoin (DOGE) Price Today

According to CoinMarketCap data, DOGE registered a 24-hour dip of 0.90 percent, and was currently priced at $0.1036. In India, the price of Dogecoin stood at Rs 8.42.
