Aave Labs has officially launched Aave V3 on the Era Mainnet, marking a significant advancement in decentralized finance (DeFi).

Decentralized finance (DeFi) platform Aave has announced the launch of Aave V3 on the Era Mainnet, a move that will integrate the zkSync technology to enhance security, privacy, and scalability.

According to the announcement on Aave’s official X account, Aave V3 will utilize zkSync’s zero-knowledge (ZK) technology, which is designed to offer low transaction costs and high security through Ethereum proofs. Additionally, Chainlink will contribute to the new version by providing reliable and protected price feeds.

Stani Kulechov, Founder and CEO of Aave Labs, highlighted the significance of this integration and its potential to benefit both the Aave and zkSync ecosystems. He noted that the integration of ZK-proofs and the Elastic Chain ecosystem will enhance scalability, privacy, and security, ultimately expanding DeFi adoption and enabling new institutional applications.

Alex Gluchowski, Co-Inventor of zkSync, expressed gratitude to Aave for its contributions to DeFi and enthusiasm for the advancements made possible by zkSync’s Elastic Chain.

Johann Eid, CBO at Chainlink Labs, elaborated on these benefits, stating that deploying Aave V3 on Era Mainnet is a major step for the industry and that Chainlink Price Feeds will provide accurate market data.

Aave DAO Approves New Assets for Era Mainnet, Plans Airdrop Redistribution

The zkRollup protocol developed by zkSync is designed to enable Layer 2 scaling, allowing for faster transaction processing at lower costs while maintaining security. Aave’s partnership with zkSync aims to enhance user experience and traffic on the platform.

Moreover, it will open up possibilities for private DeFi applications and future institutional applications, such as GHO (Aave’s native stablecoin) and other upcoming products.

In other news, the native governance token of Aave DAO has approved several assets for use on Era, including USDC, USDT, WETH, and wstETH. According to Aave DAO, it plans to allocate any airdrops received from the zkSync ecosystem through liquidity mining and other initiatives to enhance the experiences of Aave users.
