According to news on August 23, today, Huawei Terminal’s official Weibo announced that the Huawei Pura70 series will support the China Mobile Beidou satellite SMS function for the first time. Huawei said that it can send and receive information even in areas such as deep mountains and plateaus that cannot be covered by terrestrial network signals.

It is understood that the models that support China Mobile Beidou Satellite SMS are Huawei Pura70 Beidou Satellite Message Edition, Huawei Pura70Pro, Huawei Pura70Pro+, and Huawei Pura70Ultra. Huawei Pura70 Standard Edition does not support this feature yet.
Users can send KTBD to 10086 to activate the China Mobile Beidou satellite SMS service to experience it. This function is only available in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).
It is reported that at this year’s 2024 World Mobile Communications Conference, China Mobile’s booth showed that it will soon launch Beidou SMS service.
Currently, Huawei Pura 70 series, except the standard version, all support Beidou satellite messages. Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ and Huawei Pura70 Ultra not only support Beidou satellite messages, they also support Tiantong satellite communication functions.
