The DJI Neo has appeared in countless leaks in the last few weeks. While sources have reached a consensus on the drone's design and features, a purported launch date came and went without as much as a whisper from DJI. Consequently, it remains to be seen whether the company's Action 5 Pro action camera will arrive next week, either.
At any rate, leakers have now put forward new dates for the drone's official introduction. Unusually, the dates contradict each other. Initially, Jasper Ellens reported that a source informed them to expect the Neo to debut on September 5. However, Ellens appeared to discount this suggestion before pontificating that the drone may be showcased on August 27.
Following that @MysteryLupin chimed in, adding that the DJI Neo will be shown on August 29, which Ellens promptly reiterated. Ultimately, neither Ellens nor @MysteryLupin have provided any evidence to back up their new release date claims. With that being said, the latter has published a handful of new promotional shots, which we have embedded below. On top of that, the former asserts that the Neo will be compatible with the RC-N2 controller designed for the Air 3 and Mini 4 Pro (curr. $759 on Amazon), not just the newer RC-N3 remote controller.
