According to news on August 25, Beijing Mobile announced at the 5G-A commercial launch conference that so far, more than 7,000 5G-A base stations have been opened, achieving universal coverage within the Sixth Ring Road and suburban counties. It also launched a variety of scenario-based products for mass customers to meet the diversified needs of different user groups, marking the official commercial use of 5G-A in Beijing.

At the press conference, Beijing Mobile launched 5G-A venue packages, business travel packages, game packages, live broadcast packages and other types of products for mass customers, which can provide ultra-high speeds of up to 3Gbps downlink and 200Mbps uplink.

Currently, Beijing Mobile has launched an exclusive program. From now until the end of 2024, customers can experience exclusive scene package products through the China Mobile APP.

It is understood that Huawei has supported Beijing Mobile in building high-quality network model points such as the Capital Airport, Chang'an Street, and University Town, and has taken the lead in building the Yizhuang 5G-A connected car private network, incubating 5G- A key capability of the network.

In addition, Huawei also helped Beijing Mobile achieve the world's largest intelligent deployment of base stations, increasing the proportion of high-definition short videos by 3.64% and the proportion of high-definition live broadcasts by 16.29%.

It is reported that 5G-A, or 5.5G, is a key stage in the evolution from 5G to 6G. Compared with traditional 5G, 5G-A network capabilities can be improved by 10 times.

Currently, more than 10 terminals including vivo, OPPO, Honor and Xiaomi support 5G-A network.
