Durov was arrested on Saturday after stepping out of his private jet at Paris Le Bourget Airport. He arrived from Azerbaijan, accompanied by a security guard and an unidentified woman.

Durov, who founded Telegram, faces accusations related to terrorism, drugs, complicity, fraud, money laundering, receiving stolen goods, and pedocriminal content on Telegram, which boasts over 800 million users globally.

Following Durov’s arrest, an online campaign emerged, calling for his release, using the hashtag #FreePavel.
