Retroid Pocket Mini shown as pocket-sized OLED gaming handheld in new official images

Hardly any time has passed from the official debut of the Retroid Pocket Mini. To recap, the company revealed the device last week as its first new gaming handheld since the Pocket 4 and Pocket 4 Pro that arrived last December. Since then, Anbernic has released the RG40XX V, a vertical alternative of sorts to not just theRG40XX Hbut also the Pocket Mini.

Perhaps not coincidentally, Retroid decided to share new information about its 4-inch gaming handheld on the day that Anbernic started selling the RG40XX V worldwide. At any rate, the former has confirmed that the Pocket Mini will measure 165 x 77 x 17 mm. While Retroid compares these dimensions to the older Pocket 2S (curr. $149.99 on Amazon), they also mean that the Pocket Mini is about the same size as the Anbernic RG40XX H, which measures 163 x 79 x 16 mm.

Added to that, the Pocket Mini will be just 7 g heavier than theRG40XX Hat 215 g. Although Retroid has not outlined a release date yet, it has now shown the device in six colour options. Presumably, all colours will ship with the same OLED display panel that Retroid confirmed last week, which will span 3.7-inches across with a 1,280 x 960-pixel resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio.
