CryptoPotato asked Alphabet Inc’s (NASDAQ: GOOGL) Google department which cryptocurrency could be the next to have an exchange-traded fund in the United States to track its performance.

Here’s what Google’s AI chatbot, Gemini, had to say about the matter.

Large Language Model AIs (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Meta AI, X’s Grok, and Google Gemini are advancing rapidly. These AIs are capable of generating human-like text, translating languages, writing different types of code, and more.

Among the most popular applications for these AIs is loading them onto Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) AI chips to create chatbots that can be used to power customer service chat boxes or answer questions on the fly.

While most AI chatbots are powered by Nvidia chips, Google trains its Gemini chatbot on its own chips. Last week, Google announced that it’s rolling out Gemini support to Google Workspace users to enhance their emails.

Like its competitors, the chatbot can be asked all types of questions, including such concerning the cryptocurrency industry.

If you were to ask crypto market watchers like New York City-based futurist blogger Dominic Basulto what crypto will get an ETF next, many would place their bets on Solana.

Google Gemini agrees. “As of now, Solana seems to be the most likely cryptocurrency to get an ETF next,” Gemini said Sunday when prompted with the question, “What crypto would you say is most likely to get an ETF next?”

There have been rumors swirling about an ETF in the works for the world’s fourth-largest non-stablecoin cryptocurrency. Of the other contenders, which include Ripple (XRP), Cardano (ADA), Litecoin (LTC), and Avalanche (AVAX), Solana takes the lead.

In Brazil, the government regulator recently granted approval for a second such product.

Meanwhile, VanEck, one of the initial cadre of Bitcoin ETF issuers, is still actively shepherding its Solana ETF through the SEC’s approval process.

Here’s a quick review of the reasons that Gemini gave for its answer.

Solana is currently the fourth-largest non-stablecoin cryptocurrency by market cap.

There have been rumors swirling about an ETF in the works for the world’s fourth-largest non-stablecoin cryptocurrency. Among other contenders like XRP, ADA, LTC, and AVAX – Solana takes the lead.

However, the Google chatbot couched its guess with this caveat: “However, it’s important to note that the regulatory landscape can change rapidly, and other cryptocurrencies could also become viable candidates for ETFs.”

“It’s always advisable to stay updated on the latest news and developments in the crypto market and regulatory landscape,” Gemini says.
