Garmin Enduro 3: 'Ultra-performance GPS smartwatch' now official with extra-long battery life

It may have taken over two years, but Garmin has finally replaced the Enduro 2 (curr. $729.95 - refurbished on Amazon) with a third-generation model. Launching today alongside the Fenix E and Fenix 8, the Enduro 3 is said to surpass its predecessor in various areas.

For one, the Enduro 3 boasts 36 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, a 2-day improvement over theEnduro 2. Although a 6% improvement is not necessarily impressive, Garmin claims that the Enduro 3 should last 100% longer (90 days) than theEnduro 2with solar charging activated. The Enduro 3 is also 11% lighter than its predecessor at 57 g, but retains its 51 mm case size and 1.4-inch Memory in Pixel (MIP) display that outputs at 280 x 280 pixels.
