For a while now, Fallout 76 players have been waiting for the Milepost Zero update, which is about to bring some major overhaul to the game. And while the release date of the update draws closer, Bethesda Games Studio, the maker of the popular Fallout franchise, has issued an update for theplayers.
As per the latest post on X (Twitter) by Bethesda, players who want to get the Milepost Zero will have to redownload the entire game. This is because the studio has reduced the file size of the game.
“This update will require a full redownload of the entire game due to a repackaging effort which will make the overall game size smaller,” Bethesda wrote in the X post.
To get the new update, players will have to uninstall Fallout 76 from their PC and reinstall it again. Considering that the download size of the current version is over 100GB, we think that it’d be good to have a lighter file on your system.
The upcoming update is set to bring in some major changes as well as new content. Players will get access to a new Milepost Zero outpost, new quests with the Blue Ridge Caravan Company, tweaks to crafting, and much more.
The Milepost Zero update will go live on September 3rd at 10 AM ET, and Fallout 76 will go offline at that time for maintenance. Players who want to get the new update can download the game again from Steam or whichever platform they downloaded it from.
The above is the detailed content of Fallout 76\'s upcoming update will need players to reinstall the whole game. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
