Fallout 76 Milepost Zero to release without the main feature
For a while now, fans have been waiting for Fallout 76’s next big update - the Milepost Zero. This update is scheduled to go live later today, that is, September 3rd at 10 AM ET along with Season 18: Milepost Zero – Country Road.
As mentioned, this is a major update that was supposed to bring in new content, like a Caravan system and quests from the Blue Ridge Caravan Company. Plus, there’s also a new legendary crafting system, tweaks to the combat system, and more.
However, as per the latest announcement by Bethesda, players will have to wait to try out the new Caravan system. “Make your mark on Skyline Valley by building up your own Caravan Outpost later next month!” the company wrote in the Reddit post. The post further clarified that the update will still be going live on September 3rd, as planned.
The post does not provide an explanation for the delay. Plus, it also said “later next month” so we don’t know when the Caravan feature will be added to the game - except that it will likely be in October.
Judging by the comments on the Reddit post, fans did not receive the news well. While most of the commenters were okay with the delay, the wording of the post did not sit well with them. “This is a really weird way of announcing a delay,” one of the users pointed out.
It should also be noted that the Fallout 76 official wiki also noted that the “system for upgrading and decorating the vendor-populated outpost at Milepost Zero” and content related to Blue Ridge Caravan Company has been delayed. An announcement regarding this was made on the official subreddit as well. So the delay was somewhat expected.
In case you missed it, the Fallout 76 Milepost Zero update will require players to reinstall the entire game, as the devs have reduced the game file size. As clarified by Bethesda in an X (Twitter) comment, players will have to delete the game and install it again.
The above is the detailed content of Fallout 76 Milepost Zero to release without the main feature. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
