Acer's latest projectors have been unveiledin Berlinwith light, compact shells made of plastic (up to 50% of which is touted to come from post-consumer sources) that are virtually identical in appearance to that of theirPD2325Wforebear that can be foundon Amazon.
However, the FHD PD2528ic is rated for a new brightness rating of 3,200 ANSI lumens, while the PD2328 updates even further to aWXGA (1,280 x 800) resolution and 3,700 ANSI lumens - or up to 18% brighter than their immediate PD2527i and PD2528ic predecessors.
Nevertheless, the new projectors are still backed to hit light in terms of energy use with Eco Mode-capable LEDs rated for a ~30,000 hour lifetime.
The new Vero PD-series devices also benefit from support for up to 10W sound via their own integrated speakers, "3D" HDMI (albeit of the 1.4a standard) and automatic keystone-finding, although USB-C is not an option. ThePD2528ic is also capable of wireless projection thanks to its own integrated dongle.
It is projected to cost €799 (~$883) on its December 2024 release, while the PD2328 might not be available until January 2025 at an RRP of €599 (~$662).
