RedMagic Gaming Tablet Pro launches as first tab with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version

RedMagic has fully unveiled the Gaming Tablet Pro, the first tab to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version. It’s basically the overclocked version of the standard SoC, and the RedMagic 9S Pro leads benchmarks with it. The same is true for this tab, as it has recently got a respectable score on AnTuTu.

Much like the RedMagic 9S Pro (12/256 GB curr. $749 on Amazon), the Gaming Tablet Pro pairs the powerful SoC with an active cooler. The company calls the cooling setup ICE 2.0, and alongside the active fan, this setup has a large-sized copper tube and an air duct around the core components. This should keep the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version cool during load.

But that’s not the only highlight of the RedMagic Gaming Tablet Pro. The new Android tab comes with a 10.9-inch screen with a 16:10 ratio, 144 Hz refresh rate, 840 Hz touch sampling rate, and 2880x1800 pixels resolution. All these suggest that the pad can deliver an immersive and smooth viewing experience.

RedMagic has equipped the Gaming Tablet Pro with a 10,100 mAh battery. It promises to offer up to 10 hours of continuous gaming. There’s also 120W fast chargingsupport, which is said to get the battery from 0% to 50% in just 15 minutes, while a full charge takes 45 minutes.

Other highlights of the new gaming tablet include a quad-speaker setup, a 50 MP camera on the back, and a dual x-axis vibration motor. The launch price for the base config is CNY 3,999 (around $563), while the top-end configuration with 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.0storage is CNY 5,599 (about $789). RedMagic hasn’t yet shared details about global pricing and availability, but the company usually brings its products outside China.
