Samsung has now started selling the first member of the Galaxy Book5 series. To recap, the company announced the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 earlier this week after various leaks had already revealed various details about the device. Contrary to pre-release leaks, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 does not come with a Core Ultra 5 226V processor.
Instead, Samsung equips it with the more powerful Core Ultra 7 Processor 256V, which contains improvements over the Core Ultra 5 226V, like higher CPU boost clock speeds and a more powerful iGPU. For reference, the iGPU in question is the Arc Graphics 140V, which is said to have 8 GB of VRAM at its disposal. Added to that, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 comes with LPDDR5X RAM, a 76 Wh battery and a 16-inch AMOLED display that offers the following specifications:
Moreover, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 boasts Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, S Pen support for which Samsung includes a compatible stylus in the box, a more advanced trackpad than its predecessor (curr. $1,149.99 on Amazon) and numerous ports:
Currently, Samsung has only remarked on US availability, where the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 is orderable from Best Buy or Samsung directly. Although those are the only retailers stocking the device for now, Samsung implies that it will be available through more sources from September 2024 onwards. Additionally, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 comes in a single $1,699.99 SKU for now, which combines a Core Ultra 7 Processor 256V with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. With that being said, the laptop will eventually be available with up to 32 GB of RAM and as little as 512 GB of storage.
