The9 Pro Foldhas yet to join its$1,779predecessor, Google's inauguralPixel Fold, on Amazon. However, the newer device is the one more worthy of that price-tag, according to online teardown expertPhone Repair Guru.

The Pixel9 Pro Foldseemed relativelyamenableto having its rear panel and main Actua Flex OLED display removed - albeit with extra caution in terms of the latter: a lesson learned from thefateof the SamsungGalaxy Z Fold6during one of its ownteardowns, perhaps.

On that note, JerryRigEverything host Zach Nelsonhad to completely destroy thePixel Foldin order to get the battery out, whereas itssuccessorkept working after and even during the teardown. Interestingly, Phone Repair Guru demonstrated that it was able to switch on even when only 1 of its 2 batteries were connected.

Then again, those same batteries proved some of the most difficult parts to remove due to the lack of properpull-tabs: something that can also be said of the more conventional 9 Pro XL.
