Xiaomi launches new Redmi A Pro 4K smart TV series with affordable price tags

The new Redmi A Pro smart TV series has made its debut in China. With six models, the new lineup brings a 4K screen with up to 120 Hz refresh rate, making them ideal for gaming. This panel also promises rich details with a 94% DCI-P3 color gamut and high color accuracy.

Xiaomi has integrated 120 Hz MEMC tech to enhance the smoothness even further. This lowers the chances of motion jitter and ghosting appearing in fast-paced scenes. However, note that the smaller-sized model has a 60 Hz display with 60 Hz MEMC. On the note of sizes, the new Redmi A Pro series has the following:

• 43 inches at CNY 1,599 (about $225)
• 50 inches at CNY 1,899 (about $269)
• 55 inches at CNY 2,099 (about $296)
• 65 inches at CNY 2,799 (about $395)
• 75 inches at CNY 3,799 (about $536)

Besides featuring a 120 Hz display, the Redmi A Pro smart TVs have built-in dual speakers with support for DTS decoding. Xiaomi has also packed the large model variant of its Xiao AI assistant into them. This brings a range of AI features, including advanced smart home controls.

Under the hood, the new Redmi A Pro TVs have a quad-core CPU with Cortex A55 cores. This SoC is paired with 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, and the G57 MC1 GPU. Xiaomi says that it can ensure smooth picture processing and fast response times.

Other highlights of the new TVs include Xiaomi HyperOS, WiFi 6, NFC, and a decent number of I/O ports. There's no word on the global availability and pricing of the Redmi A Pro smart TV series, but the company did bring its previous TVs outside China.
