Fallout 76, which remains one of the most popular games from Bethesda’s Fallout franchise, recently released season 18. Players have mixed reactions to the Milepost Zero update and we're still awaiting the remaining features to release.
On the other hand, players are demanding a closet to store and display their outfits in the game. As per a post on the Fallout 76 subreddit, a player suggested adding a Wasteland Closet, which would act as a storage for players’ in-game outfits and also free up stash space.
“It could be a Fallout 1st incentive. Similar to the ammo and scrap boxes. Let us put our apparel in there and clear up hundreds of lbs in stash space,” the author wrote in the post.
The post garnered a lot of attention, and players demanded a closet or offered similar solutions. In fact, players suggested the addition of a feature that’d display a few apparel on hangers and a preview of the outfits on characters. “Oooh with a preview so you can see your character wearing the clothing before you exit the menu,” another user wrote.
Meanwhile, other players said that while the closet idea was good, it won’t really solve the bigger issue that players have with the storage system.
“What we have needed for quite a long time is a storage system, like Scrap and Ammo, that holds displayed items in a separate weighted category from our main stash box,” a user pointed out. “It's insane that the game continues to give us more and more things to store or showcase but is so slow to help us manage it all,” the comment went on to say.
Doubling down on this, a few players suggested that extra space or the closet can be added to the Fallout 1st incentives. “I don't have FO1st but I'd love this idea. I'd hold out for the next time they do the freebie week and give it free, like the ammo box and scrap box and just load it the frack up for the week. Raid the asylum and fort and everything for the whole week,” a user said.
While the author of this post did say, “Will it happen... probably not. I can dream though,” in the post, we’d love to see Bethesda making upgrades to the overall inventory and storage system.
In case you missed it, Fallout 76 Milepost Zero was rolled out on September 3rd, last week. This update was supposed to bring in new content like the Caravan system, which is now delayed to sometime later.
The update, however, did introduce major changes like the legendary crafting and ‘Best Builds’ - the latter of which caused a stir in the Fallout 76 community.
