Sharp revealed two new soundbars for the European market at IFA 2024, the HT-SBW53121 and the HT-SBW55121. Both models are said to have been tuned with acoustic engineering company Devialet and support Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X technologies.
The HT-SBW53121 is a 550W 3.1.2 channel model, while the HT-SBW55121 is a more powerful 650W 5.1.2 channel version. Both soundbars come with a wireless subwoofer and can be paired with the new HT-SPR52021 200W wireless rear speakers, 2.0.2 channel, for an enhanced audio experience. For example, the HT-SBW55121 and HT-SPR52021 combine to create a 7.1.4 sound system that can produce 850W power. You can connect other devices to the soundbars using the HDMI eARC-CEC port or wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.0.
The Sharp HT-SBW53121 and HT-SBW55121 soundbars will launch in January 2025 for £379/€399 and £579/€549, respectively. Customers can choose between two colorways: Carbon Black/Aegean Blue and Smoke Grey/Satin Silver. The Sharp HT-SPR52021 rear speaker is expected to be released at the same time, priced at £219/€239. It is unclear whether or when these products could reach retailers like Amazon, where models like the Sharp HT-SB106 2.0 Mini Bluetooth Soundbar are already sold.
