Hardly any time has passed since Samsung presented the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 as its first Intel Lunar Lake-powered laptop. For reference, the laptop is only available in the US for now, full release details of which we have covered separately. Additionally, the company has now presented a smaller alternative to the Galaxy Book4 Edge 16 that we reviewed earlier this year.
Specifically, the company has introduced the Galaxy Book4 Edge 15, which combines a 15.6-inch IPS display with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X Plus chipset. In other words, while the Galaxy Book4 Edge 15 is larger than its 14-inch and Snapdragon X Elite-powered counterpart, it will be less powerful thanks to its Snapdragon X Plus (X1P-42-100) chipset. Likewise, the new Galaxy Book4 Edge will likely perform worse than Samsung's x86-based alternatives, such as the Galaxy Book4 Pro (curr. $1,399.99 on Amazon).
Nonetheless, the Snapdragon X Plus (X1P-42-100) still packs a 45 TOPS AI accelerator, which ensures Copilot+ support. Added to that, the 8-core SoC is said to work with a 61.2 Wh battery to deliver up to 26 hours of battery life, all within a 356.6 x 229.7 x 15.0 mm and 1.5 kg housing. On top of that, the laptop supports Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, two USB 4 ports, a HDMI 2.1 connection and 65 W charging. Currently, Samsung expects to offer the new Galaxy Book4 Edge next month in France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Spain, the UK and the US. However, only Eurozone pricing is known for now, which Samsung states is €969 with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
