JVC reveals new RS2200 and RS1200 compact native 4K projectors
Sep 12, 2024 pm 12:19 PMJVC has revealed two new projector models, the RS2200 and the RS1200, also known as the NZ700 and NZ500, respectively. The D-ILA projectors are for home theaters, with the company claiming that they are the most compact native 4K models; each measure 17.7 x 7.2 x 18.9 inches (~450 x 182 x 479 mm).
The RS2200 and RS1200 have a 0.69-inch D-ILA device for deeper blacks, consistent brightness and an 80,000:1 or 40,000:1 native contrast ratio. A BLU-escent laser light source delivers up to 2,300 lumens brightness for the RS2200, while the RS1200 offers up to 2,000 lumens. You can throw images up to 200 inches (~508 cm) wide with a 1.34 - 2.14 throw ratio, perfecting the image with electric zoom, focus and shift tools. Also included are picture-enhancing features like Frame Adapt HDR and vivid picture mode, FILMMAKER MODE, and support for HDR10 and HLG.
Ports on the projectors include dual HDMI (4K@60Hz), RJ45 and USB-A. However, it is worth noting that the product listings do not mention built-in speakers or support for 3D content. The JVC DLA-NZ700/RS2200 and DLA-NZ500/RS1200 projectors will launch this November, priced at $8,999/€8,999 and $5,999/€5,999, respectively.
