Less than twenty-four hours have passed since it emerged that MediaMarkt had listed DJI's next action camera on its Belgian websites. As we discussed at the time, not only did the retailer showcase the design of the Osmo Action 4's successor, but it also presented key device specifications and a bounty of high-resolution promotional images.
Unsurprisingly, MediaMarkt has now removed these listings from public consumption. Nonetheless, evidence of them remains in our corresponding article. Additionally, DJI has now revealed the date of its next launch event, which is much earlier than a typically reliable leaker previously asserted. Incidentally, the event is the second this month for DJI after it released the Neo drone last week.
Added to that, the Osmo Action 5 Pro will arrive roughly a fortnight after GoPro released the Hero 13 Black (curr. $399.99 on Amazon). While GoPro's latest action camera carried across various features from its predecessor, DJI hopes to distinguish the Osmo Action 5 Pro from the Osmo Action 4 in at least one key area. Specifically, it seems that the company will use the former to showcase its new 40 MP camera sensor. DJI will officially introduce the Osmo Action 5 Pro during 'A Pro Rises' launch event on September 19 at 13:00 UTC.
