The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds made their debut last year, and with them, the company has introduced a new naming structure. Those earbuds, with a regular tag of $299, competed against the likes of AirPods Pro and Sony WF-1000XM5. Now, the brand has released a little more affordable variant than the Ultra.
Called the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, the new Bluetooth buds go for $179. While it's not the most affordable price tag for a pair of wireless earbuds, it's nearly half the price of the Ultra (available on Amazon). But Bose aims to offer a premium audio experience with them. For that, the company has integrated a couple of high-end features.
For example, like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, the non-Ultra variant have multiple ANC modes. While there's no support for fancy tech like Qualcomm aptX Lossless or Snapdragon Sound, the company says that the new wireless earbuds can offer "Hi-fidelity audio."
Another notable aspect of the new QuietComfort Earbuds is support for Bluetooth multipoint. This feature was recently added to the Ultra, and it allows you to switch between devices without needing to disconnect and reconnect. Bose also highlights the battery life of the new buds.
With a full charge, the new QuietComfort Earbuds are said to offer up to 8.5 hours of playtime. When you add the charging case into the equation, the total listening time jumps to 31.5 hours. These buds also feature an IPX4 rating, which makes them resistant to sweat and water.
The new QuietComfort Earbuds are available in three different colors: Black, Chilled Lilac, and White Smoke. You can get a pair from the official website.
