Garmin is rolling out a stable update, system software 17.32, for the Descent Mk3 dive computer and smartwatch. The release arrives a couple of months after version 17.29 and focuses on fixing several bugs for the wearable.
The change log notes that a problem with the Surface Air Consumption (SAC) calculation has been resolved. Garmin states that this was only an issue in the dive log and did not affect real-time values when diving. Also fixed is a bug with transit cards falsely showing a zero balance. On top of that, a problem which could cause the watch to freeze part way through a Wi-Fi sync has been sorted out. The company also warns users that they may be asked to accept the diver disclaimer again.
In a post on the Garmin forum, a team member noted that system software 17.32 was available for 50% of users. Your Descent Mk3 dive computer and smartwatch should automatically check for the update when connected to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Alternatively, you can manually search for the software via the Garmin app or Garmin Express. It is unclear when the rollout will be complete.
