Honor has introduced a new portable charger in China. Called JOWAY, the latest power bank is currently on pre-sale at CNY 89, which is around $12.61. As for the highlights, it features a two-port design, allowing it to charge two devices at the same time.
Speaking of which, the new JOWAY can offer up to 22.5W of fast charging, and both the USB-C and USB-A ports can max out at that. With this charging speed, the power bank can fully charge the Honor 200 in just 1.7 hours. The portable charger has support for SCP, PD 3.0, QC 3.0, and FCP, making it compatible with a wide number of devices besides phones.
There's even a low-current mode for recharging accessories like smartwatches and wireless earbuds (OnePlus Buds Pro 2 curr. $125.99 on Amazon). The Type-C port can also quickly recharge the internal battery, and Honor says that it takes only 3.8 hours to go from 0% to 100%. It's said to be durable too. The company mentions that the shell is fireproof and made of PC+ABS.
Besides that, the power bank has multiple protection features, including over-voltage and over-temperature. With these, the Honor JOWAY aims to offer safe charging, and the company also says that the power bank meets different standards.
Other than that, the portable charger has a rated capacity of 10,000 mAh. Honor says this capacity makes the JOWAY meet the carry-on standards of airlines, and it should let the power bank fully charge smartphones more than once.
The company hasn't shared details about global pricing and availability yet, but Honor sells its accessories outside China. So, the JOWAY could make a global debut, possibly with a different name.
