New Nothing 140W fast charger surfaces ahead of official announcement

CMF by Nothing, which is Nothing's sub-brand, currently has only one charger in its portfolio. It's the Power 65WGaN, but it seems that there will be a new addition soon. As spotted by X user @AbhishekMarkets, the company has listed a different GaN charger on an Indian e-commerce platform called Flipkart.

Per the listing, this new charger features a design similar to the Power 65W GaN, with a three-port design. Two of these three are USB-C ports, and the other is a USB-A port. However, the most interesting bit is that the new power adapter supports 140W fast charging.

Given that CMF by Nothing's accessories pair well with Nothing smartphones, this new charger with a high power output rating could mean that the upcoming Phone (3) may have a faster charging rate than its predecessor. For reference, the Phone (2)maxes out at 45W.

The CMF 140W charger is reportedly listed at INR 6,000, which is around $72. At that price range, its main competitors are the UGREEN 160W Nexode X and 150W Anker 747 GaN (curr. $99.99 on Amazon). However, the latter options have a four-port design, allowing you to charge four devices at the same time.

Other than that, the posters on the Flipkart listing suggest that the 140W CMF charger is universally compatible. There's mention of PD 3.1, but other protocols like QC and PPS should also be supported. These posters also point to the power adapter being able to operate at a lower heat than average bricks.
