OneXGPU 2: Release details for new AMD Radeon RX 7800M eGPU confirmed with ONEXPLAYER X1 offered as bundle deal

The launch of One-Netbook's next eGPU is imminent, having been teased throughout August and into early September. To recap, the OneXGPU 2 is the first product of any kind to contain the Radeon RX 7800M, which AMD itself only announced a fortnight ago. In summary, the laptop-grade GPU features the following hardware:

  • Navi 32 GPU (RDNA 3 architecture)
  • 60 Compute Units (CUs)
  • 48 MB Infinity Cache
  • 90 Render Output Units (ROPs)
  • 12 GB GDDR6 VRAM (18 Gbps)
  • 192-bit memory bus
  • 180 W TDP

In short, the OneXGPU 2 should outperform the older Radeon RX 7600M-powered OneXGPU (curr. $699.99 on Amazon) by a wide margin. Supposedly, the Radeon RX 7800M allows the OneXGPU 2 to outperform NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU, albeit likely only OCuLink and not USB 4. For reference, the OneXGPU 2 comes with the following ports:

  • 1x DC power
  • 2x DisplayPort 2.0
  • 1x HDMI 2.1
  • 1x Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45)
  • 1x OCuLink
  • 2x USB Type-A
  • 1x USB 4 (Type-C)

As expected, One-Netbook will begin selling the ONEXPLAYER OneXGPU 2 on September 26 through Indiegogo. Specifically, the company has now confirmed that orders will open at 16:00 UTC starting at $839. Please note that this price will only be valid until September 30 at 15:59 UTC, after which it is slated to rise to $899. Alternatively, the OneXGPU 2 can be ordered with the ONEXPLAYER X1 for $1,838, rising to $2,198 with 64 GB of RAM and 4 TB of storage.
