Vivo X200 Pro with Dimensity 9400 takes the crown in AnTuTu

MediaTek is set to fully unveil its next-gen flagship chip, the Dimensity 9400, on October 9. This SoC will power a new wave of top-end smartphones, including the Vivo X200 series. The AnTuTu benchmark result of the X200 Pro, in particular, was just shown off by an employee, and the new Android phone has set a record.

Per the screenshot shared by the Vivo employee, the X200 Pro is the first smartphone to be able to score over 3 million points in AnTuTu. To be specific, the Dimensity 9400-powered phone has achieved an overall score of 3,007,853, which is higher than the recently surfaced benchmark score of the Oppo Find X8 Pro.

For reference, as shared by AnTuTu, the Find X8 Pro scored 2,880,558 points. Interestingly, both smartphones are powered by the same Dimensity 9400, which suggests that the Vivo X200 Pro may have a slightly better cooling setup. The higher score may also be the result of better software optimizations.

As for how these scores compare with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, there hasn't been a credible AnTuTu benchmark score leak yet. However, the next-gen Qualcomm SoC has already made its Geekbench debut, and per one of the recent listings, the chip can score 3,236 in single-core and 10,049 in multi-core.

The Dimensity 9400, on the other hand, was shownto score 2,889 points in single-core and 8,833 in multi-core. These are lower than the specific benchmark run of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, but all these are early numbers, and they can't be a proper means of comparing the two flagship SoCs. So, we'll need to wait for the phones featuring the chips to launch to see how they compare.
