TrimUI Smart Brick: Miyoo Mini Plus lookalike released for $79.99 with high resolution display
TrimUI has now released its latest gaming handheld, which follows on from last year's Smart Pro (curr. $94.99 on Amazon). While the Smart Pro draws inspiration from the PSP Vita, the Smart Brick looks unmistakably like a Game Boy. As a result, the latter also looks like Miyoo Mini Plus, albeit with slightly different dimensions.
For context, the Mini Plus comes in at 108 x 78.5 x 22.3 mm, which allows Miyoo to install a 3.5-inch display. By contrast, the 109.9 x 73.2 x 19.9 mm dimensions of the Smart Brick restrict TrimUI to using a smaller display. Specifically, the company has equipped the Smart Brick with a 3.2-inch IPS panel that outputs at 1,024 x 768 pixels and is powered by an Allwinner A133P chipset with 1 GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
Additionally, the Smart Brick features 8 GB of eMMC flash storage, a 3,000 mAh battery and Bluetooth 2.1/Wi-Fi connectivity. Currently, the TrimUI Smart Brick is orderableGoGameGeekandMech DIYfor $79.99 before factoring in any launch discounts. However, TrimUI is also offering its latest gaming handheld with 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB MicroSD cards for small surcharges with early shipments set for late October.
