The massively frustrating gremlins appear to have begun just after 5pm BST and are still ongoing almost an hour later.
Thousands of Spotify users are unable to play songs on the popular music app this evening.
People across the UK are reporting issues with the service just after 5pm BST on Sunday (May 1).
Those trying to use the app are being met with an error message which reads: "Uh oh! Something went wrong on our end. Please try again later."
Others are able to open the app but are unable to play any music or podcasts.
According to website DownDetector, which tracks global outages, there have been over 3,000 reports of issues with Spotify in Britain alone.
This is a huge spike in the normal number of reports and appears to be a major problem.
Many frustrated Spotify users have also rushed to social media to vent their anger.
One user named Arne said: "Spotify down right before a five-hour drive."
Music fan Samuel added: "Spotify down was not on my Sundays list, how can one simply cook without music."
And JD posted a message saying: "Spotify down as I’m pulling up to the gym."
Spotify has posted an update on X (formerly Twitter) with the music service saying, "We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!"
