GM's electric take on the legendary Escalade just got its configurator up, and the price ranges from$130,000 to about $170,000 after incentives.
This is more than nearly any other luxury electric vehicle, pickup, or SUV out there, including Tesla's Cybertruck whose top Foundation Series trim costs $120,000.
The 2025 Escalade IQ offers way more range than a Cybertruck, though, at 460 miles, coming from a huge 215 kWh battery.
It also has a 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display similar to the Hyperscreen in the Mercedes EQS, as well as all the luxury accoutrements of the interior that one can think of.
While the Escalade IQ starts from around $130,000 for the base trim, expensive options like the $5,925 Midnight Steel Frost multicoat, or $9,495 second-row captain chairs with 16-way power adjustments massage seats can quickly add up.
The electric Escalade is bigger than a Cybertruck, and actually a whole foot longer than the gas-powered version that costs $40,000 less.
Despite its nearly 9,000-pound weight, however, it can sprint from 0-60 mph in less than 5 seconds and tows 8,000 pounds with the power of its 750 HP drivetrain.
It still doesn't offer some of the Cybertruck's modern specs, though, like steer-by-wire, even though it does have four wheel steering.
The Escalade IQ also doesn't come with a NACS port, though GM can throw in an adapter for a price, and says that its 800V architecture can add 100 miles of range in 10 minutes of charging.
In any case, GM claims that anyone with the money can order an Escalade IQ now, and its production will start within two weeks.
