Neiro (NEIRO), a meme coin that is dedicated to "Kabosu sister" Neiro, hit a new all-time high price today. After rising by an incredible 32% in less than 24 hours, Neiro (NEIRO) has sensationally overtaken Bittorrent (BTT), Notcoin (NOT) and Starknet (STRK) in the ranking of the largest cryptocurrencies.

NEIRO meme coin enters top 100, surges 32% overnight

Having set a new all-time high price, dog-themed meme coin Neiro (NEIRO) has made it to the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Today, Oct. 12, 2024, saw NEIRO's price hit the $0.00217 level, boosting its market cap to over $916 million.

As such, with 32% added in the last 24 hours, NEIRO also became the fastest-growing altcoin in the top 100, alongside WhiteBIT's utility token WBT.

The cryptocurrency began to surge on Sept. 16, 2024, and has gone on to add over 6,000% in just three and a half weeks. Triggered by another wave of meme coin mania, NEIRO's success has already spawned several copycats on different blockchains.

Today's rise may be linked to the launch of the Neiro Foundation charity initiative and the termination of its partnership with Gotbit market maker, which was hit with lawsuits by the U.S. SEC, FBI and DOJ this week.

In a statement, the NEIRO team announced that it is now searching for alternative market makers.

POPCAT, WIF meme coins also among top gainers

As announced by the NEIRO team and the community, several donations have already been made to animal protection non-profits in different regions across the globe.

Amid the broader 1.5% gain in cryptocurrency markets today, some major meme cryptocurrencies are shining.

In the top 10 gainers, there is Popcat (POPCAT) with a 13.1% gain and Dogwifhat (WIF), which added 8.8% overnight.

Additionally, just 4.5% away from entering the club of the top 100 cryptos is SPX6900 (SPX), the fastest-growing meme cryptocurrency over the past few days, which surged by 65% in 24 hours.

Like POPCAT, its surge is being fueled by announcements from veteran trader Murad Mahmudov, who touted meme coins at TOKEN2049 in Singapore.
