Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Michael Trucco and other actors and show runners will appear during the Salute to Battlestar Galactica event commemorating the TV show’s 20th anniversary at the Westin O’Hare Hotel, 6100 N. River Road, Rosemont. Activities will include meet-and-greets with the actors and creators, autograph and photo sessions, trivia contests and cosplay events. Tickets for general admission are $50 (Friday and Saturday) and $60 (Sunday); preferred admission is $75 (Friday) and $50 (Saturday and Sunday); weekend general admission is $149; and VIP packages range from $199 to $599. Also in Rosemont, the Parkway Bank Park entertainment district will host its annual Crawl-o-ween Bar Crawl for adults. Scholar, author and performer Clay Jenkinson will channel the father of the atomic bomb J. Robert Oppenheimer in the one-man show “Oppenheimer,” which will recount the history of the weapon of mass destruction from the Los Alamos tests to the aftermath of the bombing of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, at The Raue Center for the Arts, 26 N.
