Many of the trophies and achievements in Dragon Age: The Veilguard require you to little more than finish chapters of the game, complete groups of side quests for the game's various factions, or complete all companion quests for each possible party member.

However, you'll also find some trophies and achievements that don't have such obvious solutions. One called A Most Esteemed Purveyor is one such trophy, and it's unclear what you need to do to unlock it. Thankfully, while a lot of players will simply stumble across the solution as you play, the instructions to unlock it if you didn't are nice and simple.

How To Unlock The Black Emporium Quest

The A Most Esteemed Purveyor trophy and achievement is tied to a side-quest called The Black Emporium. To unlock it, you simply need to progress though the main story until you've completed around six or seven of the game's 'parts'.

Then, you need to head to the Caretaker in the courtyard at the Lighthouse and speak to them. If you're progressed far enough into the story, they will speak to you about the quest before you get the chance to look at Gear upgrades. It'll then be in your journal to be tracked and completed whenever you're ready.

How To Get A Most Esteemed Purveyor Trophy/Achievement

Then, the quest will take you to Dock Town, to a newly accessible room between the initial spawn point and the bustling market area. Head there and you'll start hearing a mysterious voice.

You'll now be at The Black Emporium, which is a special merchant that's not tied to any of the factions in the game. The merchant sells the same kind of items, from Mementos to weapons, but they do not accept gold as a currency.

Instead, you need to have plenty of Etheric Remnant to buy the goods on offer. You cannot use any other currency here, unlike all other merchants in the game. Since you need to collect most of the Mementos in the game to fully upgrade the Caretaker's shop, you'll need lots of Etheric Remnant and buy everything you can from the Black Emporium.

The trophy or achievement will pop the moment the quest is complete, which is while you're walking in through the door of the Black Emporium.
