The Shiba Inu ecosystem will soon witness major developments, as several updates are slated to launch on Shibarium and ShibaSwap.
Shiba Inu is gearing up for a slew of updates, including the launch of TREAT and an enhanced staking feature on ShibaSwap, according to Lucie, the project’s marketing lead.
The community has been eagerly awaiting the introduction of TREAT, a new token within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. However, Lucie also hinted at an additional rollout on ShibaSwap.
According to Lucie, this will be an enhanced staking feature, known as Bury 2.0. With Bury 2.0, the community will play a more active role through an advanced staking model on ShibaSwap.
Lucie explained that users will be able to stake SHIB tokens on either the Ethereum blockchain or Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s Layer 2 network.
To encourage participation, the ecosystem will automatically offer incentives to users who take advantage of these options.
Moreover, Lucie highlighted that all stakers will benefit from varying rewards. While short-term stakers will receive modest returns, those who stake for longer durations, especially on Shibarium, may be eligible for greater incentives. Essentially, the longer the staking period, the higher the potential rewards.
Additionally, those who stake for extended periods will gain leverage of influence in the proposed Shiba Inu Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DOGGY DAO 2.0). This will enable them to participate in making decisions on the direction of future projects.
Furthermore, long-term stakers on Shibarium may also receive special rewards, such as airdrops and perks, to acknowledge their commitment.
Apart from these updates, Lucie briefly mentioned two more upcoming features: SHIB Liquidity Wars and Community Events.
Announced by the Shiba Inu team in a recent update, SHIB Liquidity Wars is a gamified form of staking that will allow users to compete for rewards in WOOF 2.0, which is still under development.
Meanwhile, the Community Event feature will enable long-term stakers to gain access to exclusive events.
Shiba Inu Developers Appeal to Vitalik Buterin for Another $1 Billion Donation
Shiba Inu developers Shytoshi Kusama and Kaal Dhairya have taken to X to appeal to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin for another $1 billion donation.
In separate posts on the platform, the developers urged Buterin to consider making the donation through Shiba Inu’s on-chain non-profit infrastructure.
Highlighting the impact of Buterin’s previous donation to COVID relief efforts in India as part of his charitable endeavors in 2021, the developers expressed gratitude for his support, which led to a surge in SHIB’s price.
However, they acknowledged the concerns raised regarding the transparency and management of the donation. In response, Dhairya proposed a more efficient and transparent approach.
Dhairya emphasized that every SHIB holder would be able to track and monitor the utility of such a contribution from the Ethereum co-founder.
Inviting Buterin to consider Shiba Inu’s new system for channeling his philanthropic gestures, Dhairya noted the limitations of the last donation and assured better stewardship this time.
Shiba Inu Price Analysis: SHIB Price Yet to Rebound Despite Updates, Community Awaits Vitalik Buterin’s Support
Despite the positive sentiment among the ShibArmy and a 3.99% increase in market volume to $434.34 million, SHIB’s price has not yet experienced the anticipated rebound.
According to data, SHIB was trading at $0.00001767 at the time of writing, indicating a 2.16% decline over the past 24 hours.
As the media continues to highlight the upcoming updates, some individuals have expressed optimism and are considering investing in the memecoin.
According to market observers, if Vitalik Buterin were to indeed support the ecosystem with another contribution, it could potentially make a difference.
If such projections were to materialize, proponents believe that the SHIB price would ultimately skyrocket.
