While some players have expressed concern that there's little to do after burning through your initial bonuses, Pokemon TCG Pocket seems to be focused on providing a steady stream of events to keep players engaged. Only a week after the worldwide release, a third event is now active.
The Genetic Apex Emblem Event 1 is the first competition against other players, and it rewards you with emblems that can be displayed on your player profile. If you don't have Emblem Tickets to spare, this is a great way to add some flair to your profile!
The Genetic Apex Emblem Event is a player versus player (PvP) event that runs from November 7, 2024, until November 28, 2024, giving players three weeks to rack up as many PvP wins as possible.
The event clock in Pokemon TCG Pocket appears to be on Central time but displays the start and end time based on your own time zone. Check your app for the most accurate event times.
During this event, you can participate in Event Battles and earn emblems to display on your profile based on how many battles you win. You can also earn additional Pack Hourglasses and Shinedust for participating in battles.
The main draw of the Genetic Apex Emblem Event is the ability to earn four new emblems. Emblems are a special cosmetic that you can display on your profile and appear under your player icon when you're matched against another player for a battle. Prior to this event, most emblems were bought in the Shop with Emblem Tickets.
There are four levels of event emblems that you can earn.

The Genetic Apex Emblem Event is a PvP event, so bring your best deck. Few players have assembled full meta decks yet, so don't be intimidated if you've built a Pikachu ex deck with only one Pikachu ex and no Zapdos ex.
We've been able to secure wins with the Rapidash tutorial deck and have about a 50 percent win rate with a Blaine deck despite being weak in the current meta.
Be aware of which decks you're most likely to encounter. Pikachu ex is one of the easiest decks to build and pilot once you pick up a single copy of the featured card, so expect to encounter several variants of these decks.
The event runs for 21 days, so you can earn the Genetic Apex Emblem Event 1 Gold Emblem by winning just over two games per day. However, the longer players have to open packs, the stronger the decks you encounter will be. You'll probably be most successful trying to stack up wins early rather than waiting until the end.
After each match, thank your opponent so that they'll get a Shop Ticket, and check your messages to see if any of your opponents did the same. This is also a great opportunity to send friend requests to foreign players in order to get access to foreign-language cards.
This event does not have a stamina requirement or cooldown, so you can play as many games as you want while waiting for your Event Stamina to recharge to continue grinding for Lapras ex Event packs.
