A memorial walk will be held Monday to celebrate the life and legacy of late Milwaukee Alderperson Jonathan Brostoff.

Brostoff died by suicide on Monday, Nov. 4, in Greenfield Park in West Allis, according to police. He was 41.

Brostoff represented the city's east side on the Milwaukee Common Council.

The Brady Street Business Improvement District will hold a memorial walk in his honor Monday night.

People will gather at the Roman Coin bar at 5 p.m. At 6 p.m., they will walk with candles down Brady Street to Farwell Avenue.

"This candlelight memorial walk is a heartfelt way to honor his legacy and bring our community together in remembrance," executive director of the Brady Street Business Improvement District Michael Sander said in a statement. "I hope this event inspires us to continue his mission of unity and togetherness, making it a regular tradition that celebrates the spirit of our neighborhood."
