Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has two shotguns available at launch: the Marine SP and the ASG-89. The second weapon is unlocked much later and acts as a semi-auto, crowd-control weapon. It doesn't have quite as deep one-hit kill ranges as the Marine SP, but the ASG makes up for this with raw firepower. High damage and fire rate add up to an amazing weapon for clearing out hallways of enemies.
Today, we'll be looking at two great builds for the ASG-89, one tailored for multiplayer and another for Zombies. From farming camo challenges to melting Elite zombies, these builds won't let you down.

The ASG-89 has pitiful range and a fairly wide pellet spread, so this build is focused solely on improving the weapon's accuracy. We use a Modified Choke to greatly improve the weapon's ADS pellet spread, and we throw on a Long Barrel to increase the weapon's effective range, making it easier to land two-hit kills.
More importantly, we throw on a Tactical Laser to unlock Tac Stance as an alt-fire option. This tilts the weapon sideways to enable a hipfire/ADS hybrid style of aiming. Since this technically counts as aiming, Tac Stance is affected by the Modified Choke and greatly improves your accuracy, more so aiming all the way. This should make landing headshots a little easier. Throw on an Ergonomic Grip for more ADS speed and a Ranger Foregrip to increase your sprint speed.

Field Upgrade | War Cry |
You can't run a shotgun without using the Enforcer specialty. This lets you immediately heal after getting a kill, allowing for a much more aggressive playstyle on smaller maps. We trigger the set bonus with Scavenger and Dexterity in the first column (requires Perk Greed), then pairing those perks with Double Time in the third column. For the second column, we recommend Fast Hands to quickly swap to your pistol.
Equipment should help you with healing or getting out of a tough gunfight. Stims and the War Cry field upgrade are ideal for a build like this. Enforcer will heal you after kills, but if you can't land a final blow for whatever reason, use a Stim to get yourself back to full HP. Lethal is dealer's choice.

For Zombies, you'll want to increase the weapon's magazine while improving its handling stats. We recommend Extended Magazine II to give this weapon a massive 40-round magazine when Pack-A-Punched. Since the ASG gets such good ADS spread when PAPd, we can actually drop the muzzle for a Suppressor, greatly increasing Salvage spawn rates. This also means you can drop the Tactical Laser for a Steady Aim Laser, greatly improving your hipfire accuracy.
The Steady Aim Laser stacks with Deadshot Daiquiri's Dead Draw augment.
Beyond that, we recommend the Balanced Stock for a general speed boost, any optic for better ADS clarity, and the previous attachments we use in the MP build.
