Like other decentralized AI networks, Morpheus seeks to curtail the negative side effects of AI, such as centralization, censorship, and data monopolies.
Web3 artificial intelligence (AI) protocol Morpheus has officially launched on the mainnet, according to an announcement Monday.
The project, which recently joined the Decentralized AI Society, is now live after launching on a public testnet in July. Built using the codebase for Lumerin, a protocol on the Arbitrum blockchain, Morpheus aims to create personal AIs, also known as "smart agents."
These agents can execute smart contracts, connecting to users' Web3 wallets, decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts, among other tasks, according to the project team.
"Morpheus is designed to help usher in the next wave of the AI revolution, putting the power of AI in the hands of individuals and enabling them to use it to enhance their own lives and work," the announcement stated.
Other decentralized AI projects include Bittensor, dAIOS and Boltzmann Network.
