There are four playable characters in Lego Horizon Adventures, each with a max level of 20. At each level you hit, you're rewarded with bonuses like more health hearts or increased weapon damage for the character you're using.

Also, the hardest trophy in the game requires you to hit max level with all characters, which won't be possible in a single playthrough. To improve your chances and level up as fast as you can, you'll need to do everything you can to increase the XP you earn for everything you do. Thankfully, there are some things you can do to really speed the process up.

Unlock XP Boosting Upgrades

The best way to get XP quickly is to focus on unlocking particular upgrades with the blocks you collect during levels. Multiple upgrades grant additional XP, so you should unlock them as soon as you can. Those upgrades are:

Weak Sauce	Removing weak points grants XP.
Environmental Warrior	Earn more XP when you use the environment to defeat enemies.
Gadgeteer	Earn more XP when you use gadgets or rare weapons to defeat enemies.

As you get into the later parts of the game and you're using gadgets and rare weapons all the time, you'll be earning XP much faster just by playing normally. However, if you focus on the upgrades above and keep them in mind in every mission, you'll be able to level up all characters in no time.

Aim For Weak Points

Since Weak Sauce is the first upgrade you get access to and, therefore, the first you'll unlock, you should be more precise in the way you approach each fight. When you first start an encounter, use your Focus and scan the area. If there are enemies nearby, it will scan them and highlight their weak points.

You get more XP for removing weak points on more powerful enemies, such as the Thunderjaw.

Now, focus your attacks on those weak points. Once you hit them enough to destroy them, they'll fly off, and you'll be granted some additional XP. Do this to every robot you face, and you'll get a lot of extra XP.
