How To Unlock The Elysian Fields

At the start of your journey, Mythopia is unavailable to you. As you help Merida repair the Bind, however, you'll earn more Story Magic. This can be used to unlock Mythopia to the east

of the Lorekeeper's Library.

It will cost 2,000 Story Magic to unlock, and Merida will meet you there to clear away the ink. The golden Elysian Fields will open up

, and you'll have full access to the resources here.

Once inside Mythopia, the quest, A Land Of Myths And Legends

There are no directions at first other than to explore the new area, so mull around at your leisure and take in the sights. When you're ready to advance, head past the vibrant pond all the way to the east.

When you find this area, you'll need to report back to the Lorekeeper. Tell her all that you've found, and she'll inform you that you've found a Mythic Trial site. Inside are challenges you'll face that will test your mettle, and you shouldn't go it alone.

How To Catch The Wisps

Seek out Merida's help. She'll gladly help you investigate the trial site, but when you arrive with her in the Elysian Fields, you'll find glowing blue Will-o'-the-Wisps about.

Merida asks you to catch them for her, though you won't be able to use your Royal Net. Instead, you'll need to catch them with your hands.

They're quite elusive, so it's best to eat a snack beforehand so you have extra energy and can move faster.

Get close enough to the two wisps to catch them, then interact with them to add them to your inventory. You can find one at the entrance to the Elysian Fields and another over by the Statue's Shadow

region.

How To Unlock The Mythic Trial

Now that you've caught the wisps, bring them to Merida by the trial area. She realizes that they aren't wisps, but are actually blue flames! As for accessing the trial, you'll have to figure out how to get the spinning wheel to move

, as it won't budge no matter how hard you try.

Before swinging your Royal Net at it, approach the two empty braziers on either side. Deposit a single blue flame in each to unlock the mechanism, then hop inside the portal to begin the trial and start the Guts & Glory quest
