How to Toggle the Visibility of a DIV Using a Button?

Many web applications require the ability to show or hide elements on the page, such as a div. This can be easily achieved using JavaScript. Here's how you can toggle the visibility of a div with a button:

Pure JavaScript:

This approach uses the style.display property of the div element. When the button is clicked, a click event listener is triggered, which checks if the div is currently visible (i.e., style.display is not 'none'). If it is, the div is hidden by setting style.display to 'none'. Otherwise, it is shown by setting style.display to 'block'.

var button = document.getElementById('button'); // Assumes element with>
Copy after login

jQuery:

jQuery provides a simpler approach to toggle the visibility of an element. The toggle() method toggles the visibility of the selected element. When clicked, the click event listener triggers the toggle() method on the div with the ID 'newpost'.

$("#button").click(function() {
    // assumes element with>
Copy after login
