Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) have long been a fantastic way for Ultimate Team players to strengthen their squads and EA Sports FC 25 continues to deliver on this front with its engaging and rewarding SBCs. You can take on smaller challenges to earn exciting rewards, including special player items, valuable player packs, and much more.
In the SBC section of Ultimate Team, you can now take on the newly available challenges, including the 87 Base/Centurions Icon SBC, which offers a chance to unlock legendary players such as Ronaldo, Pele, Kaka, Roberto Carlos, and many more.
To complete this SBC, you’ll need to submit three full squads, with the total value of the requirements coming to approximately 155.65K UT Coins. The first squad requires 11 players with an 85 overall rating and at least one Team of the Week player, the second squad must have an 86 overall rating and the final squad requires an 87 overall rating.
Every season, toward the end of the year, the developers release an Icon SBC, and this year is no exception.
By solving each challenge, you’ll receive a pack that you can open before progressing to the next one. A good strategy is to use concept players to complete the challenge initially, ensuring all requirements are met before submitting your squad.
Concept players can be seamlessly converted into real players once you purchase them from the transfer market.
This challenge is repeatable, but you can test your luck only twice. Completing it even once might significantly deplete your SBC fodder, so be prepared to use a substantial amount of UT Coins to purchase players if needed.
Additionally, while the solution we’ve provided isn’t the absolute cheapest in terms of value, we’ve also included the most affordable options for each of the three challenges to help you complete the 87 Base/Centurions Icon SBC.

This is the easiest challenge of the three required to complete the SBC group. The most notable requirement is the inclusion of a Team of the Week player, which can be purchased from the transfer market for around 10,000–15,000 UT Coins.
To solve this, simply head into the SBC menu of Ultimate Team and copy the team listed below. If you’re looking to save coins, consider replacing players with others of the same rating and purchase players that are absolutely necessary.

This is the most challenging and wallet-draining SBC in this group, so it’s crucial to make use of free special item players to complete it. As you can see, we’ve also included William Carvalho, a player that every UT player has received as a reward, to help reduce costs.
Since the player isn't actively part of our starting 11, we decided to use him as SBC fodder to help solve these high-rated challenges.

Several base Icon players, ranging from the 86-rated Hernandez to the 95-rated Pele, could be part of your reward for completing this SBC group. However, it’s important not to get your hopes up too high, as the outcome is purely based on luck.
To give you an example, we completed the SBC once and were fortunate enough to get the best-rated player card, Pele. However, we also know that you could end up with Printz or Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
The combined worth of both icons wouldn't even exceed the SBC’s cost of around 155,000, so be prepared for it to feel like a gamble!
