Landing Page: Winter Solstice Celebrations Dev Challenge

This is a submission for Frontend Challenge - December Edition, Glam Up My Markup: Winter Solstice

What I Built

I aimed to create an engaging, visually appealing, and informative landing page about the Winter Solstice, blending science, culture, and tradition. The goal was to provide users with an intuitive navigation experience and interactivity, enhancing their understanding of this astronomical event and its global significance.

Journey

Focused on a minimalist but captivating aesthetic, leveraging gradients, contrasting text colors, and sticky navigation for accessibility. Used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. CSS was utilized to achieve a visually pleasing and responsive layout, while JavaScript added smooth scrolling and section highlighting for user interactivity. Gained insights into the Winter Solstice's science and cultural significance to ensure the content was accurate and engaging. Ensuring smooth performance for animations and interactivity while maintaining semantic and accessible HTML. Implementing seamless navigation and the sticky header that enhances the user experience.
I used Git and GitHub for version control. I used vercel for deployment.
