Build Accessibility Semantics into Widgets - Web Accessibility Initiative

The W3C Accessibility Working Group started the Web Accessibility Initiative to assist developers with building accessibility semantics into web patterns and widgets. Widgets are emphasized in the creation of accessible experiences. Design Systems like Material Design, Fluent UI, and Human Interface UI, are Widget-Based Design Systems that are built with Web Components on the Browser platform and they closely follow the Web Accessibility Guidelines when translated to Native platforms. Using these semantics will not only improve the accessibility of your websites but also your development speed.

Have you ever had trouble building and Image Carousel or Alert Dialogue to the point that you downloaded a package from NPM to do it? Not anymore. The Web Accessibility initiative has your back. They have sample widgets and patterns that you can view with CodePen. Downloads the sample into your project, modify it, and you're done.
