Most of the agents in Strinova either have some ability to locate the enemies, delay their movement, or straight-up push into them and get a couple of picks. These agents are quite easy to understand since the playstyle is similar to other games that have the same game modes.
Nobunaga is one of the few characters that doesn't have much going on in terms of these play styles, and the main focus of his kit is to buff himself while occasionally revealing enemies. This makes him a little unconventional to play.
Much like every other superstring in Strinova, Nobunaga also has a set of three abilities as follows:
Guardian Eye |
By using this skill, you can deploy an eye on the ground with a certain radius. Within this radius, Nobunaga has higher fire rate, weapon usability, and armor regeneration. You can deploy up to two eyes on the map. |
---|---|
Blinding Shot |
When in ADS mode, you can see your shot being charged on the gun's crosshair. Once it's fully charged, hitting an enemy makes them lose their crosshair for a bit. |
Pulse Overload |
This is the only information ability that Nobunaga has by default, and it essentially reveals the enemies within its radius once deployed. |
Nobunaga's primary weapon is a DMR, which means that it has a single-fire mode with high long-range damage, and you can also make it automatic with an upgrade. However, if you don't have godly aim, this gun might fail in a close-range battle. To prevent this, you can use Stinger as your secondary weapon.
Top this off with a grenade and a tattletale as the tactical items for your build. The former can be used to weed out enemies hiding in corners while the latter can complement Nobunaga's site defense play style by letting you know if enemies come from a different path that you or your teammates aren't watching.
If you're using his second awaken ability, you can also use a smoke bomb as the tactical item to get some free downs.
When it comes to in-game upgrades, both awaken abilities for Nobunaga are phenomenal. Eye of Justice lets your team have more information about enemy locations while Warp Link lets you play aggressively. If you're using the first one, you can smoke off the eye's radius when the enemies are pushing.
This will reveal them to you if they enter but they won't be able to see anything. Other than that, here are some important upgrades to make Nobunaga valuable:
Here are a few tips to help you get used to Nobunaga's abilities and the general play style:
